Heviz lies on the shores of the largest thermal lake in Europe where the surface water temperature averages 89º F in summer when Indian water lilies bloom, and a steaming 77ºF in winter. Wooden catwalks built over the lake allow easy access for swimming and in winter there are also thermal baths adjacent to the lake.
